Pasta Swap

Like most people (mainly women) I LOVVVE my pasta. I was watching this new show on the cooking channel called "hungry girl" and every show the host makes recipes that taste like your favorite foods but low cal low fat subsitutes. This episode I was watching on that particular day was making a pasta swap...

Use broccoli slaw... IT is a mix of broccoli stems, carrots and red cabbage. I found mine at kroger... its about $2 a pack.

Put slaw in a skillet with a little bit a water and cover with lid. Cook until soft.


Mix in any pasta sauce.... I am loyal to prego

It is not exactly like pasta noodles but it is actually a good alternative. And its only 100 calories and 0 grams of fat for the WHOLE bag and compared to several hundred calories with regular pasta it makes it even better.
